Pastoral Care at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community seeks to minister to all who make up this close-knit Christian community. Historically, people have said that the spirit of Christ could be felt enveloping our campus. This is our continuing goal and heartfelt desire.
The Pastoral Care Department consists of three Chaplains and one Administrative Assistant. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. However, there is always a Pastor on call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through visits, devotionals, worship opportunities, and the ordinances of the church, our Pastors seek to minister to and are available to all the healthcare Residents, Villagers, their families, and staff.
The Pastoral Care Department also provides services to The Faith Community of The Brethren Home Community. This 160-member congregation, founded in 1992, is part of the Southern Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren and accepts full and associate memberships. The congregation worships every Sunday morning and provides special services during the highlights of the church year. These worship opportunities are open to all members and guests of The Brethren Home Community and others, regardless of faith affiliation.
